Music Gene: The Milestone Of Arts Education?

Since the revolutionary “genetic atlas” has been announced recently, the human behaviours and wisdom can be systematized more and more. A current report states that there are “music genes” in our body which imply that music is no longer a tool of expressing emotion. It is indeed the fundamentality of our born-in nature.

Let that be the truth, the arts education in Hong Kong will enter a “booming” age. In fact, arts subjects are not recoginised as an important factor in schoolings, let alone the respect for its academic position. If it is proved that music is part of our inherence, its indispensability in education will be enhanced greatly.
